The Brazilian legislation (I.N. nº 117, from the Federal Revenue and Customs Secretariat) rules the exemption of taxes for Brazilian citizens or foreigners bearing a valid Foreign National Identity Card/Registro Nacional de Estrangeiro (RNE) who have had legal domicile in other countries.
Brazilian citizens or foreigners bearing a valid Foreign National Identity Card/Registro Nacional de Estrangeiro (RNE), can apply for a Legal Domicile Certificate to prove their legal domiciles abroad.
The Consulate General does not legalize lists of personal belongings.
